FMCB Installer w/ Internal HDD Support - RETRO™ - 07-25-2026 ![]() How to use 1. Copy the FMCB-EXFAT-HDD folder to the root of your exFAT PS2 Storage HDD. Keep it intact — the .ELF, INSTALL/ and lang/ must stay side by side. 2. On the PS2, open uLaunchELF and browse to: PS2 Storage → FMCB-EXFAT-HDD → FMCBInstaller_EXFAT.elf 3. Run it and proceed with the FreeMcBoot install as usual. The same folder also runs from a USB drive — one package works from either. ⚠ Notes ▸ Installing FreeMcBoot writes to your memory card — back it up first. ▸ Launched from the HDD, the installer targets the memory card. Installing FreeHdBoot to an APA hard disk is only available when you run the installer from USB (the two ATA drivers can't share the bus). Credits ▸ israpps — the FreeMcBoot-Installer this build is based on ▸ Neme, jimmikaelkael & the original FreeMcBoot team — FreeMcBoot itself ▸ ps2homebrew / PS2SDK — the BDM driver stack and uLaunchELF Download
