What is it?

Mario Collection is a native PS5 homebrew title that boots straight into a store-style game-select screen. It plays 55 Mario games from 9 consoles, each on its own built-in emulator, in a single app on your home screen. It runs as a native app (not a payload), and every console has been tested on real hardware.

Features
  • Store-style select screen: banner art, icon, description, release date and tags on every game card, with menu music and sound effects
  • Browse by console: L1 / R1 switch between console tabs (ALL, 2600, NES, GB, SNES, N64, GBC, GBA, GC, DS)
  • Sort: Square switches between By Console (in release order) and A-Z. Your tab and sort are remembered
  • Game Genie & Game Shark: 280 cheat codes for 53 of the 55 games. Pick a game, switch codes on, and start. A game started from its own card always plays clean
  • Saves: battery saves, N64 saves and GameCube memory cards are written to /download0
  • N64 settings menu per game (Triangle on the card, or the touchpad in game)
  • Nintendo DS: three screen layouts (R3), and the touchpad works as the touch screen
  • GameCube: 3x internal resolution, rumble and Action Replay codes
  • L3 + R3 in any game returns to the select screen
  • One file to install: a single .exfat image for ShadowMount+ / MicroMount

Select Screen Controls
  • D-Pad: choose a game
  • Cross / Options: play (on the first card, open Game Genie & Game Shark)
  • L1 / R1: previous / next console tab
  • Square: sort By Console or A-Z
  • Triangle: N64 settings (on an N64 card)
  • Circle: exit Mario Collection
  • L3 + R3 (in game): back to the select screen

Requirements
  • A jailbroken PS5 that can run homebrew
  • ShadowMountPlus or MicroMount (to mount the .exfat image)
  • About 6 GB of free space

Installation

  1. Download PPSA99001 Mario Collection (01.000.000).exfat (no need to extract anything)
  2. Upload it over FTP to a folder ShadowMount+ / MicroMount scans for images (for example /data/etaHEN/games/)
  3. Wait for the next scan. Mario Collection appears on the home screen

Updating: replace the old .exfat with the new one. Your saves and cheat choices live in /download0, outside the image, so they carry over.
